These assessments deliver detailed feedback on areas of improvement, enabling individuals or organizations to take considered actions to meet criteria.

Maturity assessment types

Industry standard

Maturity assessments can measure processes, systems, or strategies against industry standards. Provide detailed ratings for each level of maturity, offering your clients or team a clear understanding of how they compare to benchmarks and where they need to improve in order to meet the mark.

Skills analysis

Skill-oriented maturity assessments provide insights into the proficiency of individuals, teams, or organizations within a specific domain. Highlight strengths and areas for development and create personalized feedback. You can also monitor progress over time with iterations to ensure continuous improvement.

Create ratings for every level of your assessment

Ratings are invaluable for maturity assessments, allowing you to deliver feedback based on how scores align within predefined bands. For example, you might set up a rating for "Remote Working Health & Safety" and define maturity levels based on average scores. This could range from Level 1 to Level 5 in 20% increments or be as straightforward as a pass/fail benchmark set at 75%. Ratings ensure feedback aligns with the specific goals of your assessment.

Set benchmarks for maturity

Benchmarks provide a standard for comparison to help participants understand their position relative to defined expectations.

Brilliant Assessments offers three benchmarking options including:

Seeded benchmarks

Predefined benchmarks, or "seeded benchmarks," allow you to set clear expectations and goals in your maturity assessment. These benchmarks can be based on industry standards, organizational targets, or expert recommendations, giving participants a reference point for their performance.

Percentile benchmarks

Percentile benchmarks enable more detailed comparisons by calculating specific percentile values. This approach helps respondents understand their position and maturity within a distribution, whether they perform at, above, or below average levels.

Average benchmark

An average benchmark calculates the average of all scores in a cohort, offering a straightforward way to assess overall performance. By comparing individual or organizational results to the average, participants gain insight into how they measure up against peers or the wider group.

Measure improvement over time

Track progress and measure changes over time with iterations in your maturity assessment. Use iterations to compare differences between assessments and visualize "before and after" results. These iterations can be seamlessly integrated into charts for feedback reports and results pages, providing a clear and compelling representation of progress. Plus, there’s no limit to the number of iterations you can associate with an assessment—the only limit is the size of your chart!
